Europa Park brings together several European countries into one theme park on the German, French boarder. It is about 2 hours from Stuttgart, Strasbourg and Basel. You can also take a bus to get there from Freiberg.
The Silver Star is the highlight of Europa Park. It stands 73 meters tall and drops you at a force of 4 g. Next best is the Euro Mir, which is different from most roller coasters in the states. The car actually rotates around their access, increasing the thrill. There are two water rides, the Poseidon and Atlantica Super Splash. Both are pretty good. Don’t forget to take a ride in the dark on the Eurosat. It is inside the silver sphere which looks quite a bit like the sphere at Epcot Center Disney.
Also of interest are the shows at Europa Park. They include a children’s Pinocchio, Gladiator Show and the Magic Cinema 4D.
