Cannstatter Volksfest fights with Munich Octoberfest for the name of the best Beer Festival in Germany and probably in the whole Europe.
The Wine Village every year brings about million of wine connoisseurs to the city, there is a festival in Spring, another one in Summer, and at the beginning of Winter one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe – Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt.

Cannstatter Volksfest Beer Festival
Similar to Octoberfest the Beer Festival in Stuttgart in a couple of days time will celebrate 200 years of existence.
Under big tents that could carry up to 5000 people visitors can taste beers and local specialities such as potato noodles with sour kraut or pork knuckles.
The next festival will be held between Sep 24 and Oct 10, 2010.

The white festival tents around Theatre Lake create enchanting atmosphere filled with hot South American rhythms and music cabarets.

Stuttgarter Weindorf Wine Village
Southwest Germany is the third district in Germany in wine production. Although the wine growing tradition here is more than a thousand years old, the Festival is organised only since 1974.
For 12 days some 250 local brands of wine will be to taste in numerous wine alcoves located around the Market Square and the Schillerplatz.
